Dr. Althia Gayle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Indiana. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Service Administration from The University of Chicago and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Francis. She is an Assistant Professor specializing in Child Welfare and School Social Work. Before teaching, she worked for nine years as a School Social Worker. Althia has over ten years of experience helping at-risk youth in public schools, nonprofit programs, and community events in Chicago and nearby suburbs. She is dedicated to leading with care, supporting youth in urban schools, and promoting social and emotional well-being and social justice.
Dr. Althia helps children, adolescents, and adults manage stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, self-esteem, and trauma using research-based methods like CBT, DBT, Client-Centered, and Solution-Focused approaches.
